The main objective of the Office Manager, Controller is to to assume responsibility for the general ledger and all the related accounting functions as well as oversee the daily running of the Office.

General Description:

Westhill Innovation is a leading designer and supplier of environmentally sustainable composite systems for the Commercial Transportation Industry. We are seeking a Controller / Office Manager to assume responsibility for the general ledger and all the related accounting functions as well as office administration. Other responsibilities will include issuance of financial reports, human resourcing, payroll, costing, equipment inventory, and client interfacing. The applicant will be interacting with coworkers and clients daily. He/she should be detailed oriented and possess strong communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • management of accounts payable
  • management of accounts receivable, including the invoicing and collection process
  • involved in the expense reports process
  • monthly closing and related reconciliations
  • processing payroll through external electronic payroll system
  • year-end closing procedures coordinated with external accountant
  • provide administrative assistance in all aspects of the day-to-day business operations and for the simultaneous execution of accounting required for multiple ongoing projects
  • managing telephone and email inquiries
  • strict, meticulous, and up to date maintenance of electronic and hard copy filing systems
  • Apply HR policies and benefits (Roughly 15-20 employees)

  • Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills

Education and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-to-10 years in accounting and administration / financial management
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or Sage 50
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent Accounting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Preferred Business Degree, CPA, or equivalent working experience
