Job Type: Full-time position, Monday-Friday

General Description:


Westhill Innovation is a leading designer and supplier of environmentally sustainable composite systems for the Commercial Transportation Industry. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer for our growing team. This role overseas financial performance and provides strategic input to the President and Chief Executive. This position requires extensive leadership in developing and refining financial strategies and managing change. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively within the senior management team as well as with the technical staff to facilitate relationship building. In addition, they must have knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and planning/business development.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting personnel
  • Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/president and members of the executive management team
  • Providing strategic management of the accounting and finance functions
  • Directing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Recommending improvements to ensure the integrity of a company’s financial information
  • Managing or overseeing the relationship with independent auditors
  • Collaborating with chief information officers on technology decisions
  • Overseeing financial systems implementations and upgrades
  • Managing relationships with investors and investment institutions
  • Identifying and managing business risks and insurance requirements
  • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting and finance staff
  • Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
  • Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures

  • MBA or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant certification a plus
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in accounting and financial management practices
  • Experience in a senior management position
  • Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Financial Management: 5 years (Preferred)
